About this guide

Controlled document: ACC-DOC-ABOUT (decisions ACC-IDENTITY-001, ACC-OWNER-001)
Candidate version: 0.3
Live service described: FND Guide Phase 1 at https://fndguide.co.uk, served by the owner-controlled Netlify project. Domain registration, DNS and email administration remain with Fasthosts. The first public release went live and passed its route, TLS, redirect and mail-DNS checks on 5 August 2026.

What this guide is

FND Guide is a UK-first information and navigation guide for functional neurological disorder (FND). Its purpose is to help people who have been given, or are exploring, an FND diagnosis — and the people supporting them — understand the condition, prepare useful questions, know their practical rights and find existing sources of help.

It is written for people newly diagnosed with FND, people who have lived with FND for some time, and the partners, family members, friends and carers around them.

What this guide does not do. It does not diagnose, score symptoms or give an automated verdict about anyone's health. It does not tell anyone to start, stop or change a medicine. It does not promise any treatment, referral, benefit, legal or recovery outcome. It is not an emergency service and it does not replace professional or urgent care.

Who runs it

This guide is a personal, independent project run by Robert Campbell.

  • Legal or organisational status: an unincorporated personal project of a private individual resident in England. It is not a charity, company, community interest company, NHS service or clinical service, and it claims no such status.
  • Relevant jurisdiction: United Kingdom (England); England and Wales law applies.
  • Registered details: none — not applicable to an unincorporated personal project.

Robert Campbell holds the accountable service-owner and editorial-owner functions. There is no standing clinical-governance team: clinical input is advisory, periodic and recorded, and its absence on any page is disclosed rather than hidden.

Contact

  • General contact: hello@fndguide.co.uk
  • Corrections and complaints: corrections@fndguide.co.uk
  • Privacy and data-protection requests: privacy@fndguide.co.uk
  • Security reports: security@fndguide.co.uk
  • Monitored by: the project owner. The three purpose-specific addresses forward into the dedicated FND Guide mailbox.
  • Normal monitoring window: checked most weekdays; a reply within 7 days is the aim, not a guarantee.
  • Please do not include personal medical details. These routes exist for questions about the guide and its operation, not personal clinical advice.
  • Absence cover: none — this is a one-person project. During holidays or illness, replies will be slower.
  • Urgent boundary: these addresses are never urgent or clinical channels. For urgent medical concerns use NHS 111, and for emergencies 999.
  • Last end-to-end delivery test: 2 August 2026. The direct mailbox and all three forwarders received external test messages; a reply from the project mailbox reached an unrelated external mailbox and passed SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
  • Alternative if a purpose-specific address fails: use hello@fndguide.co.uk and put the purpose in the subject line. If the whole mailbox service is unavailable, the site will publish a temporary contact route in the change log when the owner can safely do so.

Review record

  • Factual identity and mailbox configuration checked by: project owner.
  • Editorial review: project owner; no separate editorial reviewer — disclosed.
  • Governance or legal advice: not obtained.
  • Live hosting and contact facts checked by the project owner on 5 August 2026.
  • Owner exact-version decision: approved through the controlled successor transaction for version 0.3.
  • Independent identity, editorial or governance review: not obtained.
